China, Tibet, Nepal: On foot & bike

Intrepid Kaslovian Dave McCormick shares three videos documenting a seven week trip in 2016 through China to Tibet and Nepal where he explored the Annapurna Sanctuary and the Mustang region of Nepal on foot and the Kathmandu Valley by bike.

“Tibet is a region that can be difficult to visit. If troubles arise, the border can be sealed without warning.” Dave says. “We arranged our trip not knowing for sure if we would be able to get into, or out of Tibet.” Their trek into the Mustang region was equally dicey, requiring special permits to enter this dry and windy restricted area with elevations around 4000 metres.
