The Castlegar Sunrise Rotary’s 19th Annual Wine Festival is coming up on Saturday, March 24 from 7 to 10 pm at the Castlegar Community Complex.

More than 30 BC wineries are expected to attend as well as a few vendors of spirits. Alligator Pie Catering will be presenting an array of delicious appies, both sweet and sour. You can look forward to our extensive silent auction as well as two fabulous raffles. One features two exquisite pieces of Celtic jewellery from Ted Allen’s Jewellery and, equally special, an ‘Honour The Goddess’ experience accompanied by a wealth of delightful spa products from Mountain Waters Spa and Wellness. The second raffle will appeal to the young and the young at heart as it features a drone from The Source.

In the silent auction are several larger items such as a clothes dryer from City Furniture and a wine rack and accent cabinet from The Brick. A new feature this year is that you will be able to vote on your favorite wines of the evening and you will be able to enjoy all the offerings of the festival for only $65 per person. As usual, Rotary Interact will be offering Safe Rides home, by donation, within the Castlegar area. Dress is semiformal.

Tickets are $65 (non-refundable) and available at Oglow’s Paint & Wallcoverings, 611 Columbia Avenue and Bubblees Liquor Store, 651 – 18 Street in Castlegar; Trail Coffee & Tea Company, 1369 Cedar Avenue, Trail and John Ward Fine Coffee, 503 Baker Street, Nelson.
