So Many Opportunities to Make a Difference! Many people think Hospice is all about death and dying. It is really about helping people live as well as they can for as long as they can. Hospice Volunteers support that to make it happen.
Nav-CARE volunteers help people with chronic life-limiting illness navigate their health changes and connect with appropriate resources to remain independent and connected to their community. Friendly Visitors ensure older adults do not feel socially isolated. Volunteers can help people develop their personal Advance Care Plan to ensure the medical practitioners and their family know their explicit health choices. Grief Support volunteers companion those who have experienced any major life loss and help them make meaning of their grief experience. Last, but not least, other Hospice Volunteers choose to provide a compassionate presence for those who are nearing end of life.
We provide training for all of these Hospice Volunteer opportunities! Join us for:
