I CANNOT EXPRESS ENOUGH APPRECIATION for the sympathy, support and all the help shown by family, friends and the wider community during and after Walter's tragic illness. Special gratitude to VCHC staff who made it possible for Walter to be at home for his final days. Forever grateful, from Margaret Popow.
MY THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO ASSISTED after my recent accident. Monica from Shutty Bench, First Responders, Ambulance, Search & Rescue, Fire, Police & Nelson Emergency department. Your concern & professionalism is much appreciated. Also, my thanks to the Brandricks, Hamish Kootenay Towing and all who have helped since. My sincere thanks, Annette Embery.
WE WERE GOING THROUGH A VERY DIFFICULT TIME during my wife Hana's fight with cancer. We were not alone. Of course, thousands are going through a similar situation every year. The big difference was, that Hana spent her last few weeks of life in Victorian Hospital in Kaslo. We were treated as friends and neighbours, with love and respect. Big hospitals might have better equipment and more doctors and nurses, but there, Hana would have been just a number. That personal touch we felt at VHK made all the difference for my family. We'll be forever grateful for the care which Hana received from the nurses, making her last days as painless as possible. Thank you all at Victorian Hospital in Kaslo for the care which Hana received. I think we are lucky to have a hospital like VHK. Count your blessings neighbours, we have something very special here. George Sobota.
